This course is aimed at giving you the technical skills and techniques required to produce a stained glass panel. You will be able to practice all the required skills but you will be pushed to create a fantastic piece of your own design which you will take home at the end of the 2 days.

Suitable for anyone interested in learning about how to work with leaded stained glass. No previous experience of working with glass is required.

About this course

The objective of this course is to give you all the skills and knowledge to make your own leaded stained glass panel and leave the workshop with the confidence to make your own panel outside of the class.

There are no requirements.

A maximum class size of just 4 students means that teaching is kept to a small intimate group. This allows to full support and attention to each student from the tutor. There is no minimum class size for scheduled course dates so once you have booked your place you can be confident that the course will run.

Once course availability has been confirmed and you have booked your place, you will receive confirmation and parking/location details by email. Then you just need to arrive at the venue on the right day at the right time.

Course review:

This two day practical course is aimed at beginners who want to learn the fundamental skills of leaded stained glass. Each attendee will complete a leaded stained glass panel of their own design to take home at the end of the 2 days.

Course Content

· Cutting glass to fit a design
· Fitting the glass and lead together into the design
· Soldering the lead
· Cementing the finished panel

The course fee is fully inclusive of all glass and supplies, use of tools, lunch & refreshments.

This course follows the same format and course outline as the one day course, but allows the student to make a larger panel over a longer learning period. You will also be able to design your own panel instead of selecting from the selection of available designs. Over 2 days the student has more time to practice their techniques, ask questions and generally gain skills and confidence in working with stained glass techniques. The maximum class size is 4 which allows full attention and support to be provided to each student.

Learn a great new skill and produce a fabulous original piece of leaded stained glass to take home.  You will never look at a stained glass window in the same way ever again!
