Course content
During the 8 weeks of the course the following aspects of basic First Aid in the home will be covered:

• Basic rules of first aid.
• Cardiac pulmonary resuscitation for adults and children.
• Chocking, serious and minor bleeding, burns and strains.
• Dealing with an unconscious casuality.

Course assessment
Assessment is made through tutor observation, student participation and work book

Additional qualifications
You will receive a nationally recognised Open College Network (OCN) qualification upon successful completion.
