Introduction to Womenswear Pattern Cutting – Create a Skirt Block

Course review:

This course will introduce you to the basic skirt block and the pattern making process. You will learn how to take accurate body measurements and how they relate to the creation of basics blocks. You will then draft a block to either your own measurements or a standard size 12. The course will also cover seam allowances, pattern markings and terminology. You can then cut and sew the block in calico and learn how to fit and adapt the pattern accordingly. On the second day you will learn some simple pattern manipulations.
