Introductory Diploma in Business and IT

Is this course for me?
This course suits those interested in learning how to run a
business and finding out about personal finance.
What will I study?
This course is a general education programme, prior to GCSE,
where you will have the opportunity to spend time studying an area
of interest. The course will involve you in setting up and running
your own business through the Young Enterprise programme. You will
also develop skills in personal finance - looking after and using
money wisely. The main aim is to prepare you for a course at Level
2 or to progress you into employment.

This can lead to Level 2 courses or to possible employment
opportunities.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need to complete a pre-entry assessment and attend a
short interview with a tutor.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is through key skills and finance tests and a
portfolio of work. Students also meet regularly with tutors to help
plan studies and to discuss progress.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
