Introductory Massage

Introductory Workshops Our single-weekend Introductory Workshops introduce massage as a creative process and teach effective techniques. Above all they are fun!
The programme is likely to include:

Self-massage
Working with a partner including shoulders, back, legs, arms and face
Varied and appropriate touch using different parts of our hands
Effective bodyuse for minimising strain

Participants will work on a massage table and may also work on the floor and in a chair. These courses are suitable for people who:

Are absolute beginners
Are considering professional training with BCMB
Have already enrolled on a BCMB professional course and wish to get started!

Introductory Workshops are run regularly by different members of the BCMB teaching team.

On Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork

Provider description

Holistic massage combines many skilled techniques with natural sensitivity in order to meet the needs of each individual as a whole.

BCMB was founded by Andy Fagg in 1989 to provide a high quality, person-centred approach to massage and related bodywork at all levels.

For those new to massage, we offer fun Introductory Workshops giving you some effective massage skills to use on friends and family, and a taster of our massage and teaching style. If you wish to go further, our Professional Training Course will enable you to become a massage therapist.

If you have done some massage before, our new Massage Practice Days are an opportunity to refresh and build on your skills, according to your individual needs. Our post-graduate Advanced Workshop programme for professional bodyworkers will help you extend your skills in specific areas.
