About the Course
In order to gain the certificate you will study the following core units:
* Working in Travel and Tourism - Learning about the types of jobs available
* Introducing Customer Service - what it is and why it†s important
One addition vocational unit from either:
* Using Displays in Travel & Tourism
* Planning Trips
You will also study one personal skills unit in Responsibility at Work.
There is no examination and all work is practically based, using real examples as much as possible. Assignments may involve case studies, visits, roleplay, displays, videos etc.
Alongside this course you will also study a certificate in ITWork. Maths, English and Key Skills are an integral part of the course and so are included in the study programme at an appropriate level for you, depending on your previous achievements.

How is the course assessed?
All units are internally assessed and externally moderated for each certificate pathway. You can gain a Pass, Merit or Distinction for each certificate.
Fees
No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
Are there opportunities for work experience?
Work experience is not necessary to gain either certificate, but you are encouraged to do work experience in a Hospitality, Travel & Tourism or IT Services placement (e.g. travel agents, hotels, administration departments in the port of Southampton). Knowledge gained during the work placement can be used in assignments.
