IOSH Managing Safely
Learning Outcomes:
- Apply basic management principles & practices to health and safety issues.
- To set achievable health and safety objectives, to plan and implement courses of action to achieve those objectives
- Recognise hazards that are present in the workplace and be able to set appropriate control measures.
- Take into account risks posed by human factors or those arising from ergonomic factors.
- Carry out and record basic assessments of the risks associated with workplace hazards and recommend suitable control measures.
- Ensure that adequate information, training and supervision are provided for employees.
- Investigate an accident or incident involving injury or damage to determine the causes and take appropriate actions.
- Communicate effectively on health and safety issues to other supervisors, work people and health and safety professionals.
