Course programme

The course focuses on best practice rather than legislation.

Working safely meets the Governments guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a 100% match to the Health and Safety Executives passport syllabus.

The working safely course, is recognised by CSCS as an equivalent to a level 1 award in health and safety in a construction environment. It means that delegates who successfully complete the course can apply for a CSCS green Labourer card once they have also passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives Test.

The IOSH Courses are nationally recognised and respected certified qualifications, designed and quality controlled by the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety.

You will study the follow:

  • Introducing working safely.
  • Defining hazard and risk.
  • Identifying common hazards.
  • Improving safety performance.
  • Protecting safety performance.
  • Protecting our environment.

To employers we offer peace of mind by offering training that's designed and quality-controlled by the chartered body for health and safety professionals, IOSH. There is minimal disruption to working days and shifts as the course is delivered in just one day, including the assessment.

Assessment

You will be assessed by way of multi-choice assessment and hazard spotting exercises.
