You will study a range of core and specialist units including:

  • Computer Animation
  • Hardware
  • Information Systems
  • Programming Languages
  • Systems Analysis
  • Networking
As well as a range of topics covered in short units over two years, including Communication and Employability Skills in IT; Computer Systems; Information

Systems; Organisational Systems Security; E Commerce; Digital Graphics; Software Development; Systems Analysis and the Impact of the use of IT on Business Systems.

An appropriate 'vendor specific' qualification such as the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) will also be incorporated and Key Skills will be included at an appropriate level.

Key Skills and the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Award will also form part of your final qualifications.

Additional Information
There is an administration and enrichment fee of £30.
There will be a fee of £150 to cover a trip to an IT Seminar Event held at Disneyland Paris.

Assessment
Your main course has NO EXAM.

Each unit has a number of assignments that will build up in a portfolio of evidence to give an overall grade which can be transferred into UCAS points to get into university.

Progression
This course will prepare you for entry into employment or for higher level study such as HND or Degree course in Computing or other related topics.
