What will I learn?

If you enjoy working in a technical environment and would like a career in IT, the IT Professional Apprenticeship is a good course to kick start your career This apprenticeship supports those working in a variety of trainee job roles eg Helpdesk Technician, Database Administrators, Network Manager, Systems Analyst, IT Project Manager, Technical Support Manager and Messaging Technologist

How will I be assessed?

The Apprenticeship is carried out in the workplace with a qualified assessor who will help and support you through your qualification, also giving advice and guidance on techniques The assessor will visit you every three to four weeks in the workplace to guide you through your qualification and assess your competence You are required to sit examinations to complete some components of your Apprenticeship These examinations will be arranged during your day release to College

What may it lead to?

With a Level 2 Diploma, you can start working towards the nationally recognised Level 3 ICT Diploma by enrolling in the advanced apprenticeship

Entry Requirements

To enrol in this apprenticeship, you need to be aged 16 and over, have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade D (ideally Maths, English and IT), and be employed in a suitable position
