IT Strategy and Innovation
IT Leaders is an innovator in the development of IT strategy. This programme will help you to understand IT and business strategy. You will have the opportunity to develop your own technology strategy aligned to the business goals, using our best-in-class strategy templates.
We start by looking at the most common strategic frameworks used by successful companies. We then work on some case studies of international organizations whose IT strategies are a key source of differentiation.
Step 1 in developing technology strategy is to get an accurate bearing on your starting point. We look at several techniques including benchmarking and canvassing objective feedback from the business users. Step 2 charts the end goals, looking at both the subjective (the vision) as well as the objective (key performance targets).
The third stage looks at ways to ‘do it better’, trying to find the best solution with the lowest risk. We look at several techniques around scenario planning, harnessing innovation and risk management. From the ‘delta’ between the current and future states, we look at developing high-level strategic plans. We finish with one of the most important stages - communication to the organization.
