The course is practical as well as academic with hands-on computer work such as:
- The Online World (Compulsory)
- Technology Systems (Compulsory)
- A Digital Portfolio (Compulsory) (Using online website)
- Automated Computer Systems (Robot building and programming with Lego)
- Mobile Applications (using software such as Scratch and MIT)
- Network Systems (Building, configuring and testing Networks)
- Installing and Maintaining Computer Software
- Installing and Maintaining Computer Hardware
- Functional Skills in Maths and English
English and maths are an essential part of your studies and will help you succeed on your course. These subjects help you develop confidence and are key employability skills that recruiting employers look for. If you have not achieved GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths you will need to continue studying these subjects. We will ensure you have the right lessons and support to improve your English and maths.
