Italian Beginners level 2 (Day)

Your Course
This course is suitable for those who have studied Italian for one term. The course aims to give students the opportunity to learn basic Italian vocabulary and grammar, to gain confidence in understanding and using the language and to learn more about Italian culture. We will cover all four langauge skills (speaking, listening, writing and reading) giving more emphasis to speaking and listening activities. These will include tutor-student interactions, group and pair work, and role playing games. Grammar will also be an important component of the course. There will be some revision at the beginning of each session and some homework aimed at giving extra practice in grammar and vocabulary. The course book is "Espresso 1" units 4 and 5.
This course feeds into Beginners level 3 in the summer term 2010.
During the course students will take a short internal assessment in speaking and writing Italian. This will help them for the OCR Asset language external tests that will be taken at the end of the first year of study.
