At the moment of the enrollment, non-beginners are asked to complete our Italian language test so that we can ascertain their specific knowledge. The Italian test serves as an aid to structure the student's course, and to choose from our team of Italian language teachers, those with the expertise best suited for each student's needs.
The Italian one to one courses are completely flexible concerning the time table, structure of the course and the topics to be covered. You will be able to tailor time and content to your grace. These aspects are set at the beginning of the course in order to achieve fast and satisfying results.
After receiving your request, you will be contacted by mail with a description of our courses, their prices and personalized options according to your needs.
The price indicated is for a 20 hours tuition in individual formula. Packages are available also for smaller amount of hours. We offer special prices for longer packages and specific weekend formulas.
A key point in our tuition formula is that each lesson hour at our Institute lasts 60 minutes. In many other schools the lesson hour lasts 45 or 50 minutes and the prices of their courses, apparently lower, are actually higher of 25% (or 20%) of those specified.

Daniela Testa has many years of experience in teaching the Italian language to students from all over the world. She is the school's director of Istituto Galilei, the langauge School located in the centre of Florence.
Course programme
One-to-one and individual lessons:
Since 1985 the Institute Galilei in Florence has been specializing in Italian one-to-one courses to meet the needs of all those who wish to make most of their time and/or need to study specific aspects of the language for their work/studies – business people, students and private persons of all ages.
The one-to-one courses are characterized by the individual study programs, which are tailored to the linguistic needs and the profile of each student taking into consideration his/her linguistic background, age, motivation and learning structure. In this way, it is possible to focus also on particular aspects of the language, such as grammar, conversation, pronunciation etc. and/or to include the vocabulary of the Italian language you use for your work/study.
Our one-to-one Italian language courses may start and finish on any day requested. On request, the courses can continue also during the weekend and on holidays in order to take full advantage of your stay in Florence.
Additional information
We use a flexible and personalized teaching approach, taking into consideration that mother-tongue, age, interests, study habits and motivation make a difference from person to person in terms of time and ways of learning.
