Many employers are becoming disillusioned and have stopped training their staff whilst over 50% of IT skills learning takes place through individuals learning from each other or `on the job.

Assessment:
Once training commences our dedicated team will help your staff to plan and prepare themselves for each assessment.
This also includes a series of one-to-one meetings with staff over the this time period in order to collect and assess the evidence.

iTQ offers an opportunity to anyone interested in formally certifying their working knowledge of IT user skills. It allows people to demonstrate and also develop their IT users skills in the workplace.
iTQ consists of a mandatory unit and a range of optional units to allow earners to build the skills they want. For the mandatory unit evidence should arise naturally from work-based tasks and activities involving the use of IT. The starting point to get the ITQ to work for you is to focus on how you would normally use IT.
As a guide 4 units must be completed to obtain a level 1 qualification and 5 for level 2. This is however a flexible qulaification, therefore units can be taken at levels 1, 2 or 3 as required, as long as 50% are taken at the registered level. This allows for you to train and be accredited in the areas and level you actually work in.
The course will begin with a presentation to the employer, then discussion with candidates to give an overview of the qualification, followed by an inintial assessment to establish ability and level of each candidate, followed by an induction to the course. There will then be a combination of workshops, e-learning and one-to-one guidance and assessment.
