Course summary
There are estimated to be 17 million people in England who use computers at work and this number is growing fast, with more than 90% of new jobs requiring IT skills. The NVQ Level 2 in ITQ is the National Vocational Qualification for IT Users that demonstrate staff competence in the use of IT in the workplace. This is a flexible course, which can be designed to meet employer needs, and is offered through LearnInvicta Limited and is accredited through City & Guilds.
Prerequisites
There is no prescribed recommended prior knowledge, attainment or experience needed. An initial assessment will consider numeracy, literacy and sector skills as well as previous qualifications and practical experience. Candidates must be employed or in a realistic working environment.
Course description
The Level 2 qualification is for candidates who can do a range of work activities, some of which are complicated and non-routine. The candidate may take responsibility for working on their own but can also work as part of a team. This qualification is aimed at anyone who uses IT within their work environment. This qualification is made up of units each of which has a unit value. In order to gain the level 2 qualification, a candidate must complete a mandatory unit plus additional units to a total of 100 unit values.
Assessment method
Assessment will be carried out by a qualified NVQ assessor which will include; Observation of workplace activities, Product evidence, Questions, Witness statements, Accreditation of Prior Achievements and Learning.

This qualification is designed for anyone who uses IT within their work environment, but not professional IT staff.
