ITQ Qualification For IT Users Level 2 (I) (Mon 6-9) AAA0176 Is this for me?
These qualifications are suitable for individuals who use IT skills in their day to day work. If use of IT is a key aspect of your working role, and you have no formal qualifications that recognise the work you do within your job, then this qualification could be for you! This qualification is extremely flexible, and adaptable to individual and business needs, so you gain the skills you need to complete your job role more effectively or gain the opportunity to assess the every day activities you complete in the work place and gain a qualification that demonstrates your competency in use of IT at either level 1, 2 or 3. You can even gain credits towards this qualification either through other qualifications or previous experience and learning.

What do I need?
There are no formal entry requirements for these qualifications but it would be an expectation that you could demonstrate competencies within a real working environment.

What will I study?
The flexibility of the qualification will allow you the opportunity to complete units from a range of IT areas that complement the knowledge, skills and understanding you require within the workplace.

Where will I study?
Baltic Campus

You'll be based at our fantastic £39million Baltic campus on the quayside. The campus has a prime location on Gateshead quayside, and state-of-the-art facilities including a Jacuzzi, gym and sauna, a 200 seat theatre, state-of-the-art classrooms, training kitchen and restaurant, refectory, bistro and vending areas.

Assessment
An initial assessment will allow a Trainer to identify your current level of knowledge and skills. A training and assessment schedule will be agreed and the evidence collected against IT competencies can be assessed either through existing qualifications, by visits to your place of work or electronically via the Internet.

How will I be taught?
Once your training needs have been identified you will be able to access a range of resources and self assessments through the College VLE, Blackboard or attend scheduled workshops to access specialist support from an IT Trainer.

What qualification will I get?
OCR NVQ for IT Users (iTQ), at either levels 1, 2 or 3.

Can I go onto further study?
After completion of each level there will be an opportunity for you to progress on or widen your specialist skills and knowledge through a variety of IT qualifications, including Microsoft Office Specialist Units.

What are the career opportunities?
These qualifications will give you the opportunity to enhance your career options either with your current employer or potential new employers.

Does it include key skills?
Evidence towards key skills are integrated into the course content but are not assessed as part of this programme.
