On completion of training, course members will be able to demonstrate their ability to plan, prepare and present practical and theoretical instruction to an adequate standard (L117). In addition members will be able to construct, conduct and mark objectively a practical test of trainees' operating ability and issue appropriate documentation. This course is suitable for: Reach trucks and electric and I.C.E Industrial Counterbalance trucks. Suitable for: candidates who have a minimum of 6 months operating + current forklift certificate (Counterbalance/Reach Truck) and a desire to instruct others. Course run regually. Become a qualified Forklift instructor / examiner in 10 days!!

Successful training depends on the competence of the instructor, the course will develop relevant instructional skills in preparing and presenting both theoretical knowledge in the classroom and practical instruction on the truck itself.

The course also covers the appropriate methods of assessment on the progress of trainees including the testing of basic knowledge and practical skills to ensure the courses run are in accordance with the Health & Safety Executives Approved Code of Practice (L117) which relates to the requirements and recommendations for the provision of basic training for lift-truck operators.

The course requires a high level of participation and candidates are required to take part in all activities and can expect to be preparing lessons in the evening.

Qualification is based on assessed performance throughout the course by the tutor on the following:

1: Complete test of operating skills to instructor standard.

2: 3 knowledge based examinations on the course content.

3: Conduct a classroom lesson.

4: Conduct a practical demonstration.

5: Conduct a practical lesson.

6: Construct & conduct a practical test.

7: Write an end of course report.

All Safe-T-Solutions instructors are accredited by the appropriate accrediting body and are also fully experienced, trained, tested and certificated on the relevant machines.

Successful candidates will receive certification and be registered on the ITSSAR National Register of Accredited Instructors.(Category 1)

Each course is externally monitored at random by a Training Advisor from the accrediting and awarding body ITSSAR to ensure maintenance of required standards.

Candidates attending this course must be experienced and qualified operators of the types of machines on which they will be required to give instruction. They should also meet the relevant recommended medical requirements and have proven themselves to be mature and reliable, with the desire to teach others.
