The new edition of JCT design and build contract 2011 (DB 2011) has now been published, replacing the 2005, revision 2, 2009 (DB05). The Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (LDEDCA) was implemented in October 2011, so JCT launched a new suite of contract documents to take into account the changes required by LDECDA.

This NEWLY UP-DATED 1 DAY COURSE will summarise the main changes and provide an appraisal of the form, highlighting the differences with its predecessor, including use of contract particulars, schedules, relevant events and L+E matters; provision for PI insurance; a Contractor’s design submission procedure; Third Party rights and payment provisions.
