Learn two lovely ways of adding colour to metal clay in this fantastic new class!

All students will begin by making two pieces of simple metal clay jewellery (usually a pendant and pair of earrings) and in the afternoon you will learn how to add resin and polymer clay to your pieces as an excellent way of adding colour to your creations.

No previous experience is necessary as we will start from the basics, those students who have previous experience in metal clay may be able to make more complex pieces.

Techniques covered in this class include:
- Basics of working with metal clay, making simple pieces.
- Mixing and applying resins.
- Adding colorants and inclusions to resin.
- Conditioning polymer clay.
- Mixing colours in polymer clay.
- Combining polymer clay with metal clay.

What you need to bring to this class: For this class you don't need to bring anything but yourself as everything is provided. However if you have any ideas of what you would like to make, feel free to bring pictures, sketches or ideas.

General Info: As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.

We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
