The goal of our master is to develop highly qualified professionals – through the creation of a career-oriented portfolio - essential for achieving a breakthrough career or to build a solid foundation for students' future employment in the jewellery field.
The unique feature of our Master is the so-called "corporate research", a joint project in collaboration with an Italian company that takes place in the second semester of the academic year.
Students are given the chance to be in direct contact (during the second semester) with Italian companies, laboratories, design studios, artists, according to the contents of their study and under the supervision of their professors.

About this course
1) 4-year college or university graduates. Or alternatively, anyone who has collected sufficient working experience in restoration, and desires to pursue an advanced training.
2) 12-work portfolio, that best represents student’s style and conceptual world.
3) 2 recommendation letters (no mandatory).

Week 1-7 Basic geometry and representation
- Two-dimensional representation of objects: orthogonal projections;
- Dimensional representation of objects: three-dimensional view;
- Geometry applied to the jewel (drawing with drawing instruments);
- Representation of rings, earrings, brooches, pendants, bangles and necklaces rigid;
- Geometry applied to the jewel (representation of freehand drawing from life);
- Drawing all forms of jewelry.
Week 8-14 Technical Illustration (markers, crayons, tempera)
- Representation of the precious metals (gold, silver, platinum) surfaces: flat convex, concave, convex, foil, cylinders etc..;
- Representation of the precious stones cut: cabochon or faceted;
- Representation of the Pearls;
- Representation of the diamond;
- Representation of the glazes;
- Object representation of embedding techniques;
- Representation of surface finishing techniques: hammering, diamond, satin
Week 15-21 Phases of Design
- Project concept
- Study sketches
- Technical drawings

Week 22-28: Project of the Jewel
- Designing collections created from their own imagination
- Design of collections designed to target potential consumers and current fashion trends.
