What does the course involve?
This course is designed to focus on five key elements; Self analysis, Presenting yourself, networking, finding jobs and interview skills.

What will I study?
Review your strengths and weaknesses Make a list of your strengths and weaknesses. Matching skills and knowledge with potential job opportunties.

Presenting yourself and self image Preparing your CV and ensuring that you are coming across in a positive light. The importance of key phrases and creating the right impression both in person and on paper.

Networking Many jobs are found through personal contact. How can you develop your personal network. In what ways can you use social networking tools such as Facebook etc and online job search engines such Monsterjobs etc.

Finding jobs that don't exist We all know the jobs that you see in the paper and online. What about those opportunities that exist that have not been advertised in the press? How do you discover the places and contexts in which you can pick up these 'hidden' jobs.

Interview skills Preparing for the interview. Research on the business. Knowing the job and your new company. Presenting yourself in the best possible way at interview.

What sort of candidates would do this programme?
Any individuals that are seeking work either for the first time or after having been made redundant. It would also include those that are returning back to work after a period of absence.

Is this a taught based course?
Yes. It is a two day workshop designed to develop confidence in finding, applying and gaining new employment.

Is there any form of assessment?
No. However, there will be practical skills assessment throughout the two days ranging form a full self audit to undertaking a full mock interview.

What accreditation will I receive?
Although this does not lead to a qualification you will be issued with a certificate of attendance outlining the activities completed during the programme.
