Journalism & Editorial Design BA (Hons)
This is a full-time three year course run at Wolverhampton College in collaboration with Wolverhampton University. It offers those with an interest in journalism the opportunity for in-depth study, and is one of very few courses to equip a student with page layout, design and graphics as well as skills in newspaper reporting.

Course ContentJournalists of today are expected to be multi-skilled. The content of this course includes practical skills in news and feature writing, and editorial design skills in page layout and graphics. It is also set against a strong theoretical background giving graduates a firm understanding of journalism law, ethics and local and national politics.
How will I be assessed?Modular assessments and placement assessment. Coursework.
What can I do next?Gain professional accreditation with the professional body, National Council for the Training of Journalists, at Wolverhampton College, or equivalent professional qualifications in broadcasting or periodic magazine journalism. Graduates may also go straight in to the industry.
