Law
What will I learn?
You will study the English legal system and learn how the rules with which we live are established, developed and administered. Both real and hypothetical cases will be examined to highlight how the law works. You will explore relevant concepts, analyse them and reach your own conclusions. The roles of solicitors, barristers, magistrates and judges will be examined. The law is ever changing and you will be expected to discuss and anlayse this.
What qualifications do I need?
p>We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry criteria, including GCSE English Language at grade B, and preferably History at grade C or above. This course requires essay writing and a high level of comprehension. No prior knowledge of Law is required.
Career opportunities:
You can progress onto university courses in Law leading to vocational training as a solicitor, barrister, legal assistant, legal secretary or careers in the police force. In addition law is an excellent complement to a wide range of arts and social science and business subjects.
