Course Information

It is often difficult for managers and owners within small to medium sized businesses to identify and source appropriate management training and development solutions to improve management skills - this is where our dedicated Leadership and Management Specialist Advisers can help.

Each employer can benefit from up to £1,000 of grant support for leadership and management training. The first £500 does not require a contribution from the employer and should be used for directors/leaders/senior managers. The subsequent £500 must be 'match funded' by the employer and is available for senior members of the management team.

The funding can be put towards the cost of a range of personal development options including accredited training (an MBA or Diploma, for example) or non-accredited development (e.g workshops/seminars, coaching/mentoring or continuous personal development).

How the Leadership and Management Programme Works

With the support of one of our Specialist Leadership and Managment Skills Advisers you will:

  • Examine the key areas of responsibility and targets for the manager(s) concerned
  • Identify key areas where increased skills or knowledge would make a positive impact on your business. These skills may even include computer skills or any other skill that can make a difference to your organisation
  • Identify the leadership and management training options and training providers available to you
  • Work with you to put together a personal development plan, which will determine the most suitable course of action to support your objectives.
