This course is for all levels of leadership, future, aspiring leaders, Middle Leaders and Senior Leaders.
The course tackles issues directly related to the current field of national and international education. It challenges you to develop deeper critical thinking around how to meet the needs of policy and the needs of your students and staff.

You will work through the process of initiating and driving change at an individual, group and/or organisational level.
You will also learn how to adapt your communication strategies and techniques for developing new behaviours and attitudes. In short, the course aims to equip you with the skills to lead the development of others.
You may have already completed National College Leadership courses, which you can use to gain credits towards the MA Leadership in Education. This course is designed to either build on these programmes or stand alone.

About this course
Candidates will engage in a wide range of leadership theory, and learn how theory translates into practice through the different course learning objectives and tasks.
The course offers opportunities on how to lead change effectively, how to employ coaching and mentoring as a change agent, and how to reflect on leadership and practice with a wide range of academic research in mind.
The course offers opportunities for learners to develop a clear and detailed understanding of their wider community, contexts, policies and socio-economic factors at play, which need to be considered when leading and supporting others.
Candidates engage with a wide range of others to discuss, evaluate, and critique academic research to explore a wide range of viewpoints to extend their practice further.
This course will enable you to develop your leadership skills and ability to lead change to meet the needs of staff and learners in educational contexts. It is suitable for all levels, from aspirational leaders to those in a existing leadership role.
The course can support candidates to continue to develop in future leadership roles, and leadership opportunities or to develop others to lead in future as teachers, lecturers or courses facilitators. Candidates will also be able to offer consultancy services, guidance and advice depending on where they are positioned regarding their leadership roles.
Furthermore, the course offers a module focusing on coaching and mentoring which will enable future leaders to support others in their personal development effectively or to develop others to coach and mentor well too.
The course offers Leading Change with CMI accreditation and Applied Research Project with CMI accreditation for the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Leadership and Management, and Developing Leadership Capability for Change with CMI accreditation for the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Coaching and mentoring at £279 per certificate.
