The Leadership and Management for Care Services is the replacement for both the current NVQs in Registered Managers (Adults) and Residential Childcare Managers.
It provides the manager with an award that states their competencies in a wide range of areas.
The award is aimed at the person who is managing care services to some of the most vulnerable members of our society including older people and those with physical or learning difficulties.

Delivery Method
You will be allocated a workplace assessor who will guide you through the necessary evidence building in your workplace for the completion of the LMCS. Routes for Assessment will be individually discussed with the candidate. Looking at the role of Advisors, workshops and independent assessment.
To achieve the Leadership & Management in Care Services (LMCS) Award you must complete 8 units, 4 mandatory plus 4 optional.
Qualification structure
The qualification comprises of 31 units, of which the first four are mandatory with the choice of a further four drawn from a total of 27 optional units.
