Introduction

Many organisations, managers and executives are aware of Lean Six Sigma as a phrase; but what is it and can it help improve my business? Lean and Six Sigma, both proven business improvement approaches, provide businesses with the ability to maximise customer, employee and shareholder value by minimising process variation and waste. This one day course provides a basic introduction to Lean Six Sigma. Delegates will be introduced to the five stages of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control) improvement methodology, the statistical background to Six Sigma and the principles of Lean thinking, the infrastructure of a typical programme, and role and responsibilities.
