This qualification is designed to provide you with the administrative
and technical skills you will require for a career in the dynamic legal or business environment. The course is made up of two qualifications, the Paralegal Certificate which blends legal knowledge, understanding and practice and the NVQ Level 2 for IT
Users (ITQ) developing your administrative and IT skills.

By completing this course you will gain a solid foundation on which to
build your legal or commercial career. In addition to the work undertaken in the classroom, you will visit local business and legal establishments. Trips in the past have included the Crown Court at Bristol, the Houses of Parliament and overseas visits in
Europe and New York. There will also be the opportunity to undertake a work placement at a major legal firm in Bristol. During your studies you will further develop your literacy skills.

How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed continuously throughout the year by assignments and coursework.

Begin an administrative career in a wide range of areas. This course can be your pathway to a career in any office based work with opportunities to enhance your career prospects. Some of our past students have worked in a variety of different jobs
including, solicitors firms, banks, estate agents, insurance and the local council.

Achieving this qualification will give you the equivalent of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C.
