This course is for those responsible for the management and maintenance of hot and cold water systems in residential accommodation such as nursing homes and housing associations. This course is aimed at plumbers and maintenance engineers, particularly those employed by local councils and housing associations that are responsible for the physical maintenance of water systems

This is effectively an introduction to the properties of water and the design of water systems, more specifically the inherent risks that can lead to the development of the Legionella bacteria. The manual includes a log book to record details and performance of a cold and hot water system as part of a risk assessment exercise
