As part of Stanmore Sixth Form College's excellent support network, Literacy and Numeracy support is available to any student enrolled on a course, depending on the student's individual needs (determined during Induction by an assessment). Support is provided through the Skills for Life Study Plus Programme. Students can attend either one-to-one or group sessions in a friendly, stimulating and supportive environment.

What is the course about?
This is a one year programme made up of the following units: 3 Core Units:
Unit 1: Starting Work in the IT Industry
Unit 2: Working in the IT Industry
Unit 3: Developing Skills in IT

2 Personal Skills Units:
Unit 4: Personal Effectiveness
Unit 6: Financial Management

3 Vocational Units
Unit 7: PC Systems
Unit 9: IT Applications
Unit 10: Digital Applications
All students will receive formal and continuous support throughout their time on this course.
All students follow Key Skills:
· Communication
· Application of Number
The vocational timetable includes the AIDA qualification to build on students IT skills.
