Course Content

The content of the course includes a wide range of activities and skills that are associated with electrical installations such as:


  • • Lighting circuits


  • • Rings and radials (Sockets)

  • • Cooker

  • • Shower Circuits

  • • 17th Edition Consumer Unit Installations

  • • Singles and Three Phase Motor and associated starters

  • • Generators including micro generation theory




All circuits will be inspected and tested so that the candidate can verify electrical safety before connecting the supply in compliance with 17th edition wiring requirements.



Various containment installation skills will be developed including:

  • • Steel & PVC Trunking

  • • Tray work

  • • Steel & PVC Conduit

  • • MICC

  • • FP200, SWA, SY cables


Candidates will also complete tutorials, and functional skills for the construction industry.
