This qualification focuses on fundamental practical skills and knowledge. Successful completion of the qualification will ensure that the learner will have gained an understanding of the core skills and knowledge required for working within the sector. The qualification does not require occupational evidence. NOTE:
As part of your programme of study, there is an expectation that you undertake a timetabled work placement or experience block of learning, this is designed to enable you to gain experience of the industry
You will also have the opportunity to complete additional modules from our construction skills portfolio, Including: Electrical, Plumbing, Brickwork, Joinery and Plastering, This will allow you to gain a wider experience of the industry and increase your skills.
Method of Study
There will be a combination of workshop based practical activity and assessment as well as classroom based theory.
Method of Assessment
On-going assessment will take place throughout the course. All assessments within this qualification are externally set (by City and Guilds), centre marked assignments and practical assessments.
