Course Content

Those who want to gain basic beauty therapy skills and experience through working in a realistic salon environment. This is a highly practical qualification providing the skills and knowledge required to work in the industry.

You will have one hour tutorial once a week and three hours E Learning per week.

Students will study English and maths and will also have the opportunity to be involved in competitions and additional industry related workshops.

• Health and safety

• Customer care

• Shampoo and conditioning

• Styling women’s hair

• Styling men’s hair

• Plaiting and twisting

• Temporary colours

• Basic make-up

• Basic face painting

• Basic manicure

• Basic pedicure

• Basic nail art

Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs grade G with at least an F in English and G in Maths

Possible Progression

Level 1 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing based on achieving required EL3 functional skill in English & Maths
