Functional Skills qualifications are intended to support learners as they seek to improve their literacy and numeracy

Achieving these qualifications should increase candidates’ confidence and motivation, and the skills they gain will be valuable in the workplace or in any further learning.

Everyone

In order to do a Level 2 Functional Skills, you will need to have a GCSE grade D-E or a Level 1 Functional Skill. Alternatively you will have to score between an Entry Level 3 to Level 1 on the online diagnostic.

Level 1 is equivalent to GCSE grade D-E in and Level 2 is equivalent to GCSE A-C
