3. Entry requirements The way to achieve on this course is by completing all the knowledge questions in the candidate portfolio for each of the five units, and the practical assignments. Your work will be assessed and marked by your tutor on a regular basis and you will be given feedback on how you are progressing. An assessment plan will be developed to assist you in successfully completing the course.

5. Assessment method The course is a mix of practical and theory work, and you will be shown how the theory relates to the practical work you do. There are five units to study. Three mandatory and two support units. Mandatory evidence routes: Working safely in an engineering environment; Working efficiently and effectively in engineering; Using and communicating technical information. Support evidence routes: Making components from wood-based materials; Carrying out composite moulding techniques.
