Course Content

The Level 1 Diploma in Performing Arts is a one year full time course, which aims to introduce you to the stimulating world of performing arts, developing a creative perspective and confidence, preparing you for application for entry onto the Level 2 course.

This is a lively, innovative course that encourages students in both the creativity and technical aspects of the performing arts industry. Throughout the course you will study a range of disciplines which will introduce you to general dance and performance skills, and the production skills needed in putting on a performance. You will also study functional skills in Maths and English. You will be expected to take part in the creation and performance of several shows that range from a pantomime to an end of year variety show.

There is no formal examination but final major projects are marked externally by Edexcel. All other work is assessed internally.

Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications however a keen interest in performing arts.
