Level 2 Award in Front of Stage Pit Barrier Operations (RQF)

The qualification, which can be linked to both stewarding and security, is classroom based and includes both theory and practical assessments. Content covered includes:
  • Understand the purpose of the front of stage pit barrier;
  • Being able to protect the health and safety of individuals within the barrier system;
  • Understanding the roles and responsibilities of colleagues; and
  • Being able to recognise audience activity and respond appropriately while working in the front of stage pit barrier.

This qualification is achieved by taking a 1 day course and assessed via portfolio of evidence and practical demonstration/assignment.

It can be used to progress to a more senior position within the live events industry or to advance to a Level 3 qualification, and can be completed in just one day.
