Course programme

The law requires the sale of alcohol to be approved by a Personal Licence Holder. Individuals wishing to become a Personal Licence Holder you must first pass an accredited licensing qualification such as the Highfield Awarding Bodies Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders.
This level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holder is aimed at anyone who wants to work in the licensed trade.
The course covers the following areas:
  • The legal and social responsibilities of a Personal Licence Holder
  • The Licensing Act 2003 including the 4 licensing objectives
  • Requirement to apply and renew a Personal Licence
  • Personal and Premises licenses.
  • Alcohol units and drink driving allowances
Following the course, their is a 1-hour examination of 40 questions. You need to score a minimum of 28 to pass the exam.
We normally receive the results back from Highfield Awarding Body in around 7 days. At this point, we can also provide a Personal Licence Application Service. More details of this are on our website www.barandrestauranttraining.co.uk
