What is the course about?
This course is suitable for people wanting to specialise in manicure and pedicure treatments.

What are the course outcomes?
This is a practical course which covers the following:
·Implement And Maintain Employment Services
·Anatomy And Physiology
·Prepare The Client's Hands For A Manicure
·Provide The Manicure Using A Range Of Manicure Treatments
·Advise On Aftercare
·Prepare The Client's Feet For A Pedicure
·Provide A Pedicure Treatment Using A Range Of Treatments, Materials And Equipment
·Advise On Aftercare to enable students to gain a qualification in IHBC Manicure & Pedicure Certificate.

Are there any additional requirements?
Materials:A basic kit is provided, although the student will be expected to purchase materials and basic equipment as the course progresses, such as folders,10 dividers, plastic wallets and pens and paper.

Uniform:
Students MUST be dressed in a white tunic uniform top with navy trousers and shoes.

Other: Candidates will need to provide a model on a number of occasions for practical work and assessments.

Note: Units VR02 and VR74 (Health and Safety) will need to be taken if you have not achieved them previously within three years of completing this qualification.

How will you be assessed?
A range of assessment methods will be used including:
Observation of practical skills - Oral questioning and written evidence. Plus an external multiple choice paper. Continual assessment is carried out by a VTCT Verifier/Tutor. For assessment purposes at

80% attendance is required.
