Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying

Is this course for me?
This course is suitable for people who are not working and would
like to gain a qualification in the building industry but do not
have access to the work experience necessary for a full NVQ.
Construction awards can be upgraded into full NVQs when you become
employed.
What will I study?
This course consists of practical and theoretical study. The
programme is offered as a continuation from the Level 1
Diploma in Bricklaying

What are the entry requirements?
You will need to have achieved the Construction Foundation Award
or Bricklaying NVQ Level 1.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is on practical skills and theoretical knowledge,
including short tests, subject assignments and completion of
work-based evidence books. Students also meet regularly with tutors
to help plan studies and to discuss progress.
What can I do next?
This can lead to Bricklaying NVQ Level 2 (site work), or
Bricklaying NVQ Level 3 and can lead to employment in the building
industry.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
