http://www.katerieppeljewelry.com Originally from Ohio, I received a BA in Anthropology from Smith College and an MSc in Urban Studies from the London School of Economics. I have always been driven by creativity and making, although I never planned to become a jewelry designer. Like everything I have done this far, it happened by accident! I now have a great passion for working with metals and beautiful objects. My work is inspired by various cities I have lived in, and my observations on culture and the built environment.

Course programme
The programme is structured around two core modules:
Manufacturing
Taught in our workshop studios in Hatton Garden, the course heavily focuses on the development of technical competence.
Under the guidance of our expert team of tutors, you will build a set of manufacturing skills which include enamelling, engraving, gemstone setting, silversmithing and polishing.
2D Design
Alongside nurturing technical excellence, you will also learn the professional design practice within the Level 2 Diploma.
You will study technical drawing, exploring methods of design, principles of colour, experimentation, perspective and sources of inspiration. You will also learn traditional rendering, and produce a creative journal.
At the end of the module, you will also get the opportunity to have a taster of CAD for jewellery-making.
