Level 2 Diploma in Skills for Business

Course overview
You will learn about business culture, customer service, business documents, working in teams and managing performance. You will be assessed through a variety of coursework and projects centred around different career areas within business (e.g. retail, marketing) where you will apply what you have studied and further develop your employability skills. If required, you will also work towards the achievement of Maths and English at GCSE grade C as part of your overall study programme. There will be a mix of classroom based activities which include on-line research, production of reports, presentations and creating displays as well as out of classroom events or industry practice which involves demonstrating your business. A high standard of industry professionalism is expected from you during project activities.
Who is this course for?
The course is ideal for those who are 16 – 18, have at least 3 GCSE’s at Grade D and have an interest in developing their employability skills to work in a business environment.
What other experience will I gain?
There will be a range of industry guest speakers and visits to support research and to show industry practice. You will develop wider skills to prepare for progression to L3 and for employment.
