Progression once completed the course can allow you to gain access to the Level 3 course (BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma). It will also make you more employable by learning relevant industry skills to bulk up your CV.


The course looks at up to 7 different modules:
Anatomy
Fitness testing
Sports Development
Practical sports
Lifestyle and sports performance
Football Pathway. The Amersham & Wycombe/Chelsea FC Foundation (Football Performance & Education Programme) Students who pass the performance assessment criteria for this pathway will wear Chelsea training kit, represent A&W/Chelsea in high standard 16-19 year old league/national competitions and be able to use Chelsea’s state-of-the-art, world-class training facility in Cobham. Students choosing this pathway will be provided with 8-12 hours of coaching per week from highly qualified and experienced coaches – two out of three who hold the prestigious UEFA ‘A’ grade. A wide variety of careers in the sports and leisure industry can be pursued beyond completion of this programme. Students will also compete in the Conference Youth League, English Colleges’ Football League (ECFA) and English Schools’ Football Association (ESFA) National Colleges’ Trophy.
