Level 2 First Diploma in Health & Social Care

This new course is designed to inspire and enthuse learners to consider a career in the health and social care sector, or in a related sector where knowledge of health and social care will be of use, such as early years. Learners will study a range of units to improve progression to Level 3 and will gain a qualification equivalent to 4 GCSEs. The course is delivered by qualified nurses and learners will be taught practical skills such as taking blood pressure, monitoring vital signs, carrying out CPR and other emergency First Aid procedures. Through placement visits learners will gain knowledge and experience that will bring the curriculum to life. Learners will be encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning. The course will aid progression to further study and also prepare you to enter the workplace in due course.
