EU Regulation 852/2004 on the Hygiene for Foodstuffs requires food businesses to ensure that staff involved in food is controlled, instructed and trained in food hygiene in a way that is appropriate for the work they perform.
This course is a self-study course (formerly known as foundation or basic food hygiene) and mapping industry standards set by the Sector Skills Council for Leisure, Travel and Tourism as well as Hospitality, industries and People 1st. This course is designed for anyone working in catering or hotel whether employed or self-employed, working in restaurants, hotels, restaurants, takeaways, cafes, bars, kitchen, serving in hospitals, schools and colleges. It allows all service companies, regardless of size, to provide all employees with first class training at a fraction of thecost and disruption of classroom training.
