Content outline
Students will study two units on this course.
Unit 1, "understanding leisure and tourism destinations" will look at a range of UK and overseas visitors attractions such as holiday destinations, sports venues, theme parks etc. Ways of travelling to those places will also be covered in depth.
Unit 2, " the nature of leisure and tourism" will look in detail at a range of leisure and tourism facilities in Hull and the UK. Your coursework will be based on an in-depth study of a facility in Hull or the East Riding.
Method of assessment
Unit 1: exam (40%)
Unit 2: controlled assessment (coursework) (60%)
Students must be aware that site visits will be a required aspect of the course and they may incur some additional financial cost as a result.
