Level 2 - National Powerboat

LEVEL 2 -- NATIONAL POWERBOAT CERTIFICATE

Provides the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and is the basis if the International Certificate of Competence. Preparation -- launching & recovering, safety equipment, lines & fenders, fuel tanks, boathandling techniques & manoeuvres, effects of current or tide, propeller controls, securing to a buoy, anchoring, leaving & coming alongside, high & low speed manoeuvring, man overboard.

Theory & background, type of craft & engines, maintenance checks, IRPCS, weather forecasts, emergency action. This course qualifies you for the International Certificate of Competence.(Coastal sportsboat endorsement)
