About this course

This is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed junior barber. It is widely recognised among employers in the UK and overseas

Everyone wishing to pursue a career in barbering (you can start at Level 2).

We do not require Clients to hold a minimum number of GCSEs or equivalent, however as with all our courses, a basic literacy & numeracy test may be required, an English assessment may be required for international students in order to ascertain suitability.

Flexible attendance and the absence of a 'box ticking' programme, instead one where we train all our students until they are confident and competent enough to comfortably work in the industry

Our Training Co-Ordinator Pariss (07725845285) will be in touch via email or phone, she will be happy to discuss your requirements, go through options, explain the payment options and answer any questions you may have. She can also arrange an informal tour & chat, or a Taster Day

We only offer VTCT-accredited NVQs, these are recognised not only in the UK but across Europe and the rest of the world. Different countries have different requirements, therefore those looking to be accredited to work overseas must contact an industry body of their chosen country to check the legal requirements with their country of choice themselves before commencing a course with us.

Unlike colleges and further education centres etc, we don’t work to the academic year. As part of our ‘Flexible Learning’ we have regular start dates throughout the year, so you can start pretty much whenever you want.

We don’t have fixed learning schedules, we offer Students the option of specifying the days they want to train, around their availability. This means they can train & learn for 1,2,3, 4 or 5 days a week (Tues-Sat, including late Thursdays).

Unlike colleges etc we don’t dictate your attendance. Our NVQ courses specify the average number of days to attend throughout the course. Because students can learn 1,2,3, 4 or 5 days a week, the course duration is determined by the chosen learning schedule. As an example, the Level 2 Barbering course takes approximately 50 full-day lessons, at 2 days a week this could be completed within 25 weeks, 4 days a week could be 13 weeks.
