Care, Health and Early Learning - Care
Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care (Adults)(2010/2011)
Study Method:
The programme is divided into half day classroom sessions covering each of the units individually. You will then be assessed by an assessor who will hold the A award. You will achieve the award when you have successfully demonstrated competency in both theory and practical aspects of the units.
Duration :One half day per week, over 12 weeks, overall completion (including assessment) up to one year.
Who the Course is For:
The NVQ is a vocational qualification which confirms that a candidate is competent to national standards, both in theory and practical practice.
Assessment:
You will be required to attend college to cover the theory of care. To assess your understanding of the theory, questions or assignments will be set by the college tutor and assessed by your assessor.
The assessor will work with you, assessing your performance to national standards. Different forms of evidence gathering are used.
Course Leads To:
Once you have completed a Level 2 in Care and you have gained more experience, you may progress onto the NVQ Level 3 if working in a position where you supervise others.
